BLD has experience of selling not so popular products  (Grades) and creating a market. BLD is obvious choice for customers. BLD started as B2B business and has evolved into B2C business. This gives them an edge and gives lot of customers insight. BLD understands the importance of service. For giving services it added a service station in 2004 and gets lot of processing done from Vendors. BLD is proactive in hunting for new products and teaching the costumers about it.

Our story

We started as a trading company 3 generations ago and registered first firm by the name of Ajay Steels. Currently Delhi operations is  by the name of BLD Steels Pvt. Ltd. started operations in Delhi in the year 1977. We are dealing in iron and steel products for 50 years now. We use to work with all the brands and use to keep all possible product but as the business model evolved and we started pushing brands not so famous in north India under our brand name. We introduced products like Colour coated galvanised iron sheets, Galvalume(Al+Zn Coating) in Delhi but switched when they started getting traded as a commodity in the market. We did that for National Steels, Indian Steels, Ispat Steels and many more. We have worked for JSW group in initial days and started working with them recently when  Ispat was taken over by Sajan Jindal Group (JSW). Now we keep those products which are slow moving and lead-time for manufacturing is long so that we can serve customers with the shortest lead time possible.

In BLD Steels we have a horizontal organisation structure which helps  to provides customized solutions for the industry in short lead time. In 2014 we touched a 50Cr.(INR) mark. In 2013 we started JSW Shoppe and started focusing on retail with whole sale. This gave us a monopoly in market for some products. In 2004 it was decided to expand into steel service stations and a sick unit was acquired. It was acquired  looking at the following benefits first one forward integration of work and second one was that we got large space to stock our material which was done at other warehouses before that. This came out to be a good decision as it gave hold and  decreased lead time. This unit worked under the name BLD Steels Pvt. Ltd.
